The Klingers have had many ideas on where THE GALLERY at Nine Pines may take them—and you. As both Jim and Christine are artists and educators, they are creating both performance spaces and galleries. There is a large barn (the winery) for performing arts, and a smaller building which is becoming a gallery. Both buildings can be used for many purposes. NINE PINES GALLERY Nine Pines plans to host gallery exhibits and openings out here. We may also rent our spaces to groups or individuals for their private activities and events. When Christine owned a retail art gallery in King's Yard in Yellow Springs awhile back - Springs Gallery - she hosted several art classes, exhibits and openings. They were always well attended and great fun! We've also had a few out here at Nine Pines over the years as well. So far, we've hosted a jewelry workshop, a sculpture class, a creative writing group, musical jams and rehearsals. There is more to do in preparation for an official opening but we promise to keep you posted on our plans and activities on here, and most likely on facebook too. These days we're focusing on our winery/event space and our Gallery. We may revisit the idea of art classes in the future. But please remember - we are only open for events or by appointment. FAVORITE ANIMALS IN CLAY
Minimum 2 duos Join us at KLINGER STUDIO at Nine Pines in Yellow Springs for a clay class for parent (or guardian) & 1 child age 5-10. Choose from a variety of animals to make; instructor will help. You’ll be making ceramic animals into wall sculptures; we will kiln fire them for you, and you will paint them. Share creative time together sculpting and painting - and bring home a shared art treasure! Fee: $75 for guardian and child together Clay, kiln firing, and paint are all provided.
