When veteran keyboardist Jim Klinger decided to return to his musical roots and share them with the Yellow Springs community, he started forming a band, which became known as Vinyl Tap. The members have all played with other bands over the years but this quartet was founded here in Yellow Springs, OH, in 2022. When Nine Pines Winery opens to the public, in Fall of 2024, it will be for events only. Jim plans to host live music events with local and area musicians and will feature his band - Vinyl Tap - as the Nine Pines House Band.
Vinyl Tap plays a mix of classic rock, soul, blues and jazz - an eclectic repertoire from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and beyond. Their playlist ranges from originals to covers of Deep Purple, Eric Clapton, Santana, George Benson, Miles Davis, Sonny Boy Williamson, Wilson Pickett, Steely Dan, Peter Frampton, Stevie Wonder, The Allman Brothers, and more. They have been playing out in Yellow Springs/Dayton and vicinity and are looking forward to playing more for their Yellow Springs community at Nine Pines. Vinyl Tap's music and energy are known to bring audiences to the dance floors!
As the group's keyboardist and music coordinator, Jim Klinger, is the contact for all entertainment information and band bookings. You may call or text 937-479-0539 or email [email protected]. We hope you can catch the group at some of their local appearances in the Yellow Springs and Dayton areas. We will keep folks informed of their schedule here on this site, and on facebook.
You can also see videos of some of Vinyl Tap's rehearsals and performances on our
KLINGER STUDIO youtube.com channel: youtube.com/@klingerstudio. We plan to put other Nine Pines activities on there as well, but for now - it's all about Vinyl Tap!
